Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:19

Asian Access/Japan National Pastors Conference

I was struck by hope at the recent A2/Japan National Pastors Conference in Sapporo… All of these pastors pictured here as well as several others shared stories of new life springing forth through their outreach efforts.

Many of these pastors ventured “out of their normal boxes” to take their faith to their communities and some went into regions where there is no church or Jesus followers that we are aware of. They shared with those they met of their hope in Jesus and some responded favorably.

Now, places that have been untouched with the Gospel, have seen a point of light. And, new growth seems to be emerging. It’s exciting to watch. And, it truly appears like the words of Isaiah quoted above, that God is doing a new thing in Japan. There is an enthusiasm for what is to come and a hope that I’ve rarely seen expressed.

New mission networks are emerging – in some of the toughest to reach regions of the country.

Current Challenges and Upcoming Opportunities

Please pray for Japan during this critical days. The population is aging, and the economy has slowed, they just opened their borders and so opportunities will be teeming in the midst of all these new realities. In 2019, she hosts the Rugby World Cup and in 2020 the Summer Olympic Games so now is the time to pray and capitalize on this season of hope and vision.

God is doing a new thing so I pray you’ll join us in this venture. Come alongside visionary pastors in Japan to help them fulfill the vision God has given them and join us in reaching out during the World Cup and Olympics.

Pray for revival as these signs of hope keep sprouting.

God is making a way in a land often seen as a wilderness for his Church!
